    Discover the sights, sounds and experiences of the forests in the Heart of Argyll. From the quiet of the woods to the call of the wild, there’s something for everyone and trails to suit all fitness levels whether you’re walking or mountain biking.

    From Kilmichael Forest, to Knapdale, Port Ann, Tarbert, Torinturk and Ardcastle, there are hundreds of miles to explore.

    For example at Torinturk near Tarbert discover a Bronze Age Giant’s Grave and climb up to an ancient Dun with views across West Loch Tarbert to the isles of Arran and Jura.

    Information leaflets with maps are available from the Barnluasgan Information Hub 24/7 (marked on map) or from Forestry Commission Whitegates offices in Lochgilphead during working hours. Information leaflets and interpretation panels can be found at some sites. All routes have waymarking.
