  • There are so many opportunities for walking and wildlife spotting throughout the Heart of Argyll from the challenging Kintyre Way and Knapdale Hills to more gentle strolls along the Crinan Canal and the harbour promenade in Tarbert.

    The 20km Dalriada Heritage Trail was launched in Kilmartin Glen in 2011. It forms part of a 100km Access Network of walking routes, that feature interpretation boards, leaflets and podcasts. The paths link Carnasserie Castle near Kilmartin with the Crinan Canal and encompasses the Moine Mhor National Nature Reserve, Dunadd Fort many prehistoric monuments.
