An online intro on 4th October at 6pm to meet your shoal mates and begin your preparation, followed by open water swim classes on 3 consecutive Sundays (30th October to 13th November at 10am) at various locations in the pristine waters of Argyll with fully qualified open water swim coach Dan the Merman.
This course is designed for relatively new open water swimmers who want to develop the confidence, skills and knowledge to swim through winter safely. We will explore how to make the most of kit and physical preparedness for winter swimming, risk assessment and cold water acclimatisation techniques before exploring how to be more efficient with stroke and how to manage the crucial recovery on dry land post-swim.
The course of 4 classes are progressive and developmental (one theory and 3 practical). The theory class is several weeks before the practical classes begin to allow plenty of time to ensure correct kit preparation.
The class sizes are limited to ensure high quality teaching and safety of the group so book early to guarantee your place. BOOK NOW
