Why should I join?
Tourism in the Heart of Argyll is everyone’s business and if we are to better promote the area and encourage economic growth and prosperity, the greater the membership the more we can achieve. By joining forces to market the area each member will achieve excellent value for money. Can you afford not to?
How do I join?
The Alliance has three tiers of membership. Individual businesses and organisations can select which level is most appropriate for them. There is a membership agreement form for you to complete and sign (you’ll find this on the downloads page) and you can pay by bank transfer (preferred) or by cheque.
What do I get and how do I contribute?
All our member businesses are showcased on www.heartofargyll.com and in our online guide book. We can also highlight and promote your special events on social media. We work together to ensure inclusion in social media networking campaigns and any specific area marketing initiatives. HOATA is a Destination Marketing Organisation and a member of the wider Argyll group, Argyll and the Isles Tourism Cooperative – AITC (branded Wild About Argyll) and also Wonder Seekers, the science and learning based tourism marketing group.
We represent members on the Mid Argyll Chamber of Commerce and are involved in lobbying, promotion, dissemination of e-updates of tourism-related information and any advertising opportunities. We collaborate with Wyvex media on area maps and articles/advertorials in print media and online and our members benefit from discounted advertising rates with Wyvex media.
We have an e-zine area guidebook that is downloadable so visitors have access to your business in their pocket!
HOATA has a growing social media following and routinely highlights our members posts in ‘stories’ on both Facebook and Instagram improving our combined reach. Tag us in and we will share.
We have three membership levels, invoices are issued in August (part way through each financial year):
There is currently a 50% discount in place for annual membership.
Small Business– £100 – our main category, exceptional value for Non-VAT registered or micro-businesses.
Larger Business– £250 – year round coverage and the ability to take part in our campaigns and collaborate on-line for less than a one off print media advert!
Platinum – £1000 -for corporate businesses and agencies keen to support the work of the Alliance.
